Community participants – specifically for people who have the commitment and opportunity to share knowledge and experience gained from attending the Congress within their immediate community, and/or nationally. This award is not for healthcare professionals or physicians working in the field.
Physicians working in resource limited settings – for healthcare professionals and physicians with in-depth involvement in treatment and care. Submission of an abstract is not a requirement for this type of scholarship
Physicians from Thailand – awarded in memory of Khanokporn Satjawat who tragically lost her life during the HIV Drug Therapy Glasgow Congress in 2012 – for healthcare professionals and physicians with in-depth involvement in treatment and care. Submission of an abstract is not a requirement for this type of scholarship.
Junior researchers – for young investigators aged under 35 at the time of the Congress. Applicants wishing to apply for a Junior researcher scholarship are required to submit an abstract and apply through the abstract system.

The deadline for junior researchers is the regular abstract deadline of Friday 6 July 2018. Applications for more than one scholarship type will not be accepted; if we receive multiple applications from a single person we will contact you to ask which application you wish to progress and which you wish to withdraw.
The number of Awards available in each category is limited, and applicants are advised to pursue other funding options as well. The Congress will not provide financial assistance to delegates who arrive at the Congress without a confirmed award.
